In the context of LFT’s Destination Workshops, LuxQuiz is a new concept designed for travel trade, tour operators, journalists, bloggers and influencers to discover Luxembourg in an engaging and entertaining way. Combining storytelling with interactive elements, LuxQuiz offers both learning and enjoyment - perfect for all aspiring experts on the destination.
Guided by our market research, each year we select which countries and cities to visit. We include different activities and choose specific themes to focus on for each market. We work with the support of agencies, to assist with the onsite organisation, communication, local knowledge, and to benefit from their networks.
More than a presentation
As with the previous "Inspiring Travel Experiences from Luxembourg" destination presentations, we continue to collaborate with a motion and sound designer, Eric Smit. Previously, the presentation lasted approximately 15 to 20 minutes, with audiovisual material and live narration. This time, we created shorter thematic chapters tailored to the interests of the target market, followed by quiz questions. To make the experience even more exciting, players have the chance to win attractive prizes.
While we developed the live audiovisual presentation to include a quiz, the principle of taking destination Luxembourg on the road remains the same, and LFT invites national tourism partners to come and present their services directly to participating guests during the networking and related activities.
Two firsts for Scandinavia
According to LFT’s latest brand and potential study, Luxembourg is gaining visibility in the Nordic markets: 13% of Danish and 11% of Swedish potential visitors express strong interest in visiting within the next 3 years. And so, in September, LFT took LuxQuiz on the road for the first time and visited Denmark and Sweden for the first time. A total of seventy tour operators, travel agencies and press played in the first edition of the LuxQuiz in Copenhagen on 17 September and in Stockholm on 18 September.
We were honoured to be joined by the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Copenhagen. In Copenhagen, Ambassador Henri Schumacher opened the evening with a warm welcome, while in Stockholm, his colleague Justine Cammal represented the Embassy and greeted our guests. Both markets show an interest in food and wine, and so we decided to introduce our guests to Luxembourg specialities by inviting them not only to taste, but also to cook together alongside national chefs.

Quiz Master for both evenings Sebastian Reddeker (CEO, LFT) took guests on a journey to explore the vibrant urban life of Luxembourg City, uncover its rich history and remarkable architecture, and the diversity of its cultural offer. He then took them further afield to the country’s scenic regions, where opportunities for outdoor activities await.
