The law of 7 August 2023 on non-profit associations and foundations came into force on 23 September 2023. For non-profit associations (“ASBL”) and foundations that existed before this date, a transitional period of 24 months allows for the adaptation of their statutes to the provisions of the new law.

In this context, we draw the attention of ASBL and foundation officials to the end of the transitional period on 23 September 2025, by which date the association’s statutes must comply with the new legal provisions, if this is not already the case.
