TRADE Let's meet again

In 2022, the trade department will get back on track and once again meet with tourism professionals in person.

“The aim is to continue and develop our face-to-face activities, after almost two years of remote exchanges, and to renew the bonds with our professionals lost during the pandemic,” explained Patrick Even, International Trade Relations Officer in charge of the B2B sector at LFT. He visited Mönchengladbach on 23 March for an in-person B2B workshop in speed-dating mode with a dozen professionals (tour operators, coach operators, travel agents, etc.).

Marathon sessions

“During these marathon sessions, my mission was to convince professionals to integrate Luxembourg into their customer catalogues,” explained Patrick Even. “I am also here to help them establish their tour programmes, provide them with all the necessary information and photos, and also put them in touch with local professionals.”

This year, LFT is also planning to actively resume FAM trips. These on-site familiarisation visits for foreign tourism professionals will take place from April to October 2022. This is an opportunity for them to meet and exchange with the players in the Luxembourg tourism industry.

Other promotional sessions include a series of Live Networking/Workshops organised jointly with the Luxembourg Convention Bureau (LCB) in seven European markets: Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Spain.

“We want to meet local professionals, press and influencers on-site to present Luxembourg as a destination of choice, using an emotional communication approach,” said Liz Moris, International Trade Relations Officer, in charge of the B2C sector at LFT.

In the coming months, the department will continue its action programmes: “2022 is a real opportunity to renew tourism promotion based on exchanges and collaboration,” emphasised Liz Moris and Patrick Even. “Partners, we have new projects for you this year. Join us!”
