When authentic storytelling is embedded in powerful imagery, the resulting mix is almost predestined to carry off award after award. In this sense, it is hardly surprising that “Luci – Inspiring Travel Stories from Luxembourg”, the magazine published by Luxembourg for Tourism (LFT) recently won its seventh design award.
Following reddot winner 2020 (Magazine), the ICMA International Creative Award Silver (Magazines Print - Travel and Photography), the German Design Award 2021 Special, the C2A Creative Communication Award 2020 Winner New, the MUSE Creative Awards 2021 Platinum Winner (Publication) and the MUSE Photography Awards 2021 Gold Winner (Editorial Photography – Travel) the latest accolade for Luci is the DNA Paris Design Awards 2021 Winner (Graphic Design/Editorial).
At the DNA Paris Design Awards at ‘La Caserne’, the award was presented to the creative masterminds behind Luci, Valerio D’Alimonte, Head of Content and Communication at LFT, and Guido Kröger, designer and founder of ampersand.studio. They also accepted the award on behalf of their team of photographers and authors who travel throughout Luxembourg to discover inspiring people, places and stories that perfectly illustrate the uniqueness of the country in every issue. “We are overjoyed that our travel magazine has been so highly rated in such a prestigious international competition and honoured with an award. This is a credit to the work of our team – and shows just what can be achieved when perfect teamwork is spiced up with a large pinch of fun,” says Valerio D’Alimonte.
The awards show that good design is never an empty shell. It always goes hand-in-hand with function and values. And, in the ideal case, is an award-winning sign of excellence.
