The objective was to develop a quality professional relationship with the most important stakeholders in the tourism sector with a view to creating opportunities for collaboration, and to launch tourist travel programmes to the Grand Duchy.

Members of the Luxembourg government were also part of the trip: Mr Franz Fayot, Minister of Economy, Ms Yuriko Backes, Minister of Finance, Mr Jean Asselborn, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, and Ms Corinne Cahen, Minister of Family and Integration.

The economic delegation was led by Mr Luc Frieden, Chair of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, and Ms Cindy Tereba, Director of International Affairs.

The government mission fulfilled a dual objective: intensifying economic relations between the two countries by promoting Luxembourg companies seeking to enter the Portuguese market, and facilitating new relationships with Portuguese companies.
